How to make wonderful and practical facemasks at home using fruits, herbs and flowers. The plus is you can apply the mask and let it do its magic while cleaning the house or working on the pc!

Making your own facial packs are not only an economical way to care for your skin, but they also are far richer in healing properties and nutrients than commercial varieties. To prepare the following masks just blend the ingredients noted to form a thick paste, apply to skin, and relax for about 20 minutes. If you are busy, you can do stuff around the house while you are wearing them. I do! Lastly, if you find the mask is too thick, you can always add a little pure water to get it to the consistency you like best. Enjoy!

Moisuturizing Mask

Recipe:
3 TB-Mashed fresh avocado
1 TB-Ground dried orange peel
3 TB-Marshmallow root decoction
3 TB-Warmed Honey

Recipe:
3 TB-Grated fresh apples with peel
3 TB-Mashed fresh peaches
3 TB-Dandelion root decoction
2 TB-Milk or goat milk

Recipe:
2 TB-Ground almonds
2 TB-Mashed Banana
3 TB-Rosewater
2 TB-Warmed honey
2 TB-Milk or goat milk

Recipe:
4 TB-Mashed cooked carrots
2 TB-Parsley infusion
2 TB-Warmed honey
2 TB-Comfrey leaf

Nourishing and Toning

Recipe:
2 TB-Fresh mashed strawberry
2 TB-Yogurt
3 TB-Fresh mashed avocado
2 TB-Calendula flower infusion

Recipe:
3 TB-Ground kelp/dulse (grind in clean coffee grinder!)
2 TB-Comfrey root decoction
3 TB-Mashed cooked celery
1 EA-Beaten white of an egg

Recipe:
4 TB-Mashed fresh papya
2 TB-Warmed honey
6 EA Fresh grapes mashed or pureed 2 TB-Bay leaf infusion
3 TB-Buttermilk

To Combat Oily Skin

Recipe:
3 TB-Mashed fresh apricot
2 TB-Fresh squeezed lemon juice
3 TB-Yogurt
1 EA-Beaten white of 1 egg


Recipe:
4 TB-Mashed fresh peeled cucumber
3 TB-Ground almonds
1 TB-Standard bottled witch hazel
2 TB-Milk or goatmilk

Recipe:
4 TB-Fresh mashed tomoto
3 TB-Fresh chopped mint
2 TB-Yogurt
2 TB-Dried lemon peel

Sensitive or Irritated Skin

Recipe:
3 TB-Comfrey root decoction
3 TB-Mashed fresh avocado
2 TB-Buttermilk
2 TB-Rosewater
1 TB-Finely ground almonds

Recipe:
4 TB-Creamed unprocessed honey slightly warmed
1 TB-Myrhh powder (If not available use 4 drops myrhh oil.)
7 Drops-Rose Essential Oil
